Charles (Chuck) Nalley, M.D. is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon specializing in degenerative spine conditions and scoliosis deformities. He has had the distinctive opportunity to serve as a spine fellow at the Texas Back Institute, America’s pioneer for treating degenerative spine conditions. In addition to spine conditions, his training has given him special interests in orthopaedic trauma and total joint arthroplasty.
Dr. Nalley received his undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from the University of Arkansas, where he played for the Razorback football team and was a team captain in 2002. While working as an engineer, the desire to find a career with the focus of helping others led him to pursue medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Nalley and his wife Brooke have two children. He believes that his family is his greatest inspiration to continue to challenge himself and grow as a person. Dr. Nalley feels that having experienced the genuine love of a wife and children provides the perspective that every patient is someone’s mother, father, sibling or child, and that individual’s health issue deserves the same scrutiny as his own family.
